The Innovation Expo in Rapid City is a conference focusing on connecting entrepreneurs, innovators, angel investors, venture capitalists, and the many others who are involved in developing startup companies. The event will consist of speakers, breakout sessions, and networking focusing on the entrepreneurial community.

Greg is proud to be from Fargo, North Dakota. After traveling around the world and taking in other places and ways of life, he returned home ready to stop observing and start taking action to change what the world thinks when they hear Fargo. Greg had always known what a great city Fargo is, but he wanted everyone else to know too. As a leader in the startup community, Greg has been involved in many projects and events including TEDxFargo, 1 Million Cups, Startup Weekend, and Emerging Prairie. He often speaks about creative economic development, shining a spotlight on the best our cities have to offer, and innovative problem solving.

Dan James currently leads Jamesolutions, Inc. a company focused on Sales Excellence. He has spent much of the last 5 years working the Corporate Executive Board to lift the capability of sales leaders and sales professionals from their member companies, the world's largest companies.

Jake Joraanstad is the CEO of Myriad Mobile, full-service mobile and web application development company. In addition to co-founding Myriad Mobile, Jake and his team developed Bushel, the grain industry's first automated, real-time software platform developed to provide real-time information about scale tickets, contracts, cash bids, and other variables associated with grain production. Jake also co-founded Emerging Prairie, a non-profit organization that helps grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Fargo and the upper great plains.

Nathan Clark founded Wondermade, with his wife, Jenn, to make some of the world's best marshmallows and ice creams. In the past 5 years they've shipped millions of marshmallows around the world, and been featured in hundreds of publications talking about marshmallows, love and family.

Will Powell graduated with a BA in Finance from the University of South Dakota, and the title of three-time All-conference Wide Receiver for the USD Coyotes. Powell is an accomplished international athlete through France, Germany and Serbia, as well as the executive producer of Moving the Chains—a 10 episode documentary series bring exposure to European American Football. Will Powell is the CEO and co-founder of Podyum, an online networking platform for athletes and coaches seeking employment.

Nina joined the Ketel Thorstenson, LLP in 2005 after being convinced by her husband that his hometown of Rapid City was the best place to raise a family. Her previous experience with Big 4 CPA firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in the Washington, DC and New York metro areas, gives her a broader perspective in working with small business clients. In 2014, recognizing that fraud had grown into a global issue, she became a Certified Fraud Examiner. She is a member of the South Dakota CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. A fun fact about Nina: English is her second language. She is a daughter of immigrants from Croatia.

Jenny honorably served the Marines for four years as a field medical corpsman in the United States Navy and went onto attend Elmhurst College. Following Elmhurst, Jenny worked in business development for large companies in Chicago including Orbitz.com during its startup and IPO, as well as piloting a new sales initiative and successfully creating revenue streams for Cars.com. Her business background gives her a unique perspective to address financial, insurance and quality of life questions. Jenny worked for 9 years at Westhills Village Retirement Community serving in the role of Director of Marketing/Business Development and subsequently the Director of Independent Living. Seeing the need for someone to help people quarterback care and ensure quality of life with an unbiased opinion and fierce allegiance only to the client, Jenny launched Black Hills Advocate in June of 2015 with a passionate focus on connecting people with the services that were right for them while ensuring delivery of the best care available.

Darren is a visionary business leader with a proven track record of driving growth and managing change in a diverse set of business environments in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Able to quickly establish strategic direction, identify areas for growth, reduce cost, and develop a strong leadership team. Demonstrated success in restoring profitability to struggling businesses and pushing new growth in existing businesses. Global experience with acquisitions, integrations, and joint ventures. Respected for ability to engage and motivate people at all levels of the organization. Darren has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Mexico. He has served on the boards of several companies including: DuPont-Samsung Flex Circuit Materials, DuPont-AirProducts Nano Materials KK, Solae-Shinway China, OatTech LLC, and Waterford Energy Solutions LLC. Darren is currently the Chair of Black Hills Regional Angel Fund and an Entrepreneur in Residence at the South Dakota School of Mines.

Mark is a Kansas City native, transplanted to Rapid City in 2008 and is the Co Founder of Pure Bean Roasters in Rapid City, SD. He left his lifelong career as an award winning craftsman/builder to pursue a passion in coffee roasting in 2012 after launching Pure Bean in his garage, and later went on to achieve the highest certification in the Specialty Coffee Association, Licensed Q Grader, becoming the first and only in SD to do so. He has designed and opened three cafes in Rapid City. His passion for creativity and community serves as his major driver in daily oversight of Pure Bean.
